Let's stop pretending that things haven't changed,

That bonds are forever,

That people are the same.

Nothing exists any longer, it's all an act,

It's been for a long time, and that's a fact.

My eyes are now open,

I finally see the truth,

All the toxicity, that lay at the root.

Let's sum up the pain,

The lies, the tears,

And let's call it a day,

I beg, I pray.

For my shoulders have grown heavy,

I can no longer save,

Any more kindness I'll take to my grave.
